AWC organizes activities geared towards seniors but open to all. Check our website frequently to get the latest updates.
The Afghan Women’s Centre wishes to give women a sense of belonging, a safe space to express themselves and hope for a better future in Quebec.
Our Mission
Information Sessions
The open information sessions for seniors are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 to 4:30 pm. They are open discussions and a networking group for seniors to exchange information around topics such as health. This activity is free and open to AWC members. Non-members are encouraged to become members by contacting us.
Breakfast @ the CCS
The AWC also hosts a breakfast counter in the CCS building lobby every Monday from 9 to 11 am. Elders from the community sell delicious home-cooked snacks and tea at a low-cost as a means to gain financial independence. Check our events page for more information.
